This fan is for students who have learned the 100 most common words to read and spell but are still struggling with the next 200 words that they are frequently asked to use in their writing. High frequency words are very important for your
child to learn to read (and spell) because they
account for the majority of the words a child will

that a child knows approximately 65% of any text they read.
If these words make up a high percentage of words a child
will read then they will also make up many of the words a
child will spell. Children, especially those with dyslexia

these words and will need the words to refer to easily, by
their side as they are working.
